Aylesbury Airport Transfers is committed to making both this website and the transfer service itself accessible to as many people as possible, including those with disabilities or impairments.
Passenger accessibility
Vehicle
Every booking uses the same estate car: a standard passenger vehicle with conventional doors and seating, up to 4 passengers. It is not a wheelchair-accessible vehicle (WAV) and does not have a ramp, lift, or space to travel while seated in a wheelchair. If you use a wheelchair and can transfer to a car seat, with the folded wheelchair stowed in the boot, we can normally accommodate this; if you need to remain in your wheelchair during the journey, please contact us before booking so we can advise honestly whether we can help or point you toward a specialist WAV operator.
What we do to help
- Extra time at pickup and drop-off for passengers who need it, at no extra charge; let the driver know when booking
- Child and booster seats provided free on request
- Help carrying luggage to and from the vehicle
- Advance notice to the driver of any mobility, sensory or communication need, so pickup goes smoothly
What to tell us when booking
Mention any accessibility need in the booking form or by phone before you travel: a folding wheelchair or mobility aid to stow, a visual or hearing impairment that affects how the driver should identify themselves or communicate, or any other requirement. Being told in advance means the driver can plan for it rather than finding out at the pickup.
If you are not sure whether the estate car will suit your needs, contact us before booking and we will tell you honestly.
Website accessibility
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We are continually working to improve the accessibility of this website.
What we have done
Text and readability
- Text is written in plain English at an accessible reading level
- Font sizes scale when users increase browser text size
- Sufficient colour contrast is maintained between text and backgrounds
- We do not use colour alone to convey information
Navigation
- All pages can be navigated using a keyboard alone
- The site has a consistent navigation structure on every page
- Page headings use H1, H2 and H3 tags in logical order
- Links have descriptive text
Images
- All meaningful images have descriptive alternative text
- Decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them
Forms
- All form fields have clear labels
- Required fields are clearly identified
- Error messages explain how to correct problems
Known issues
We are not currently aware of any significant accessibility issues. If you find a problem, please contact us using the details below.
