Most of our Silverstone bookings cluster around four event types: the F1 British Grand Prix (2026 dates: Friday 3 July to Sunday 5 July), the British MotoGP in late summer, the Silverstone Festival (formerly Classic) in August, and corporate track days through the autumn. Whatever the event, the fare is fixed in advance — no race-weekend surge pricing.

British MotoGP

The British round of MotoGP runs at Silverstone in late summer, typically drawing a different crowd pattern to the F1 weekend — Sunday race day is still the busiest, but Saturday qualifying and the support races bring steady traffic too. The same £60 fixed fare applies across the weekend, and the shuttle bus and transfer-point system described below is usually in place for MotoGP as well, though the exact points can differ from the F1 weekend — check your ticket confirmation for the current year's arrangements.

Silverstone Festival

The Silverstone Festival (the historic-racing weekend formerly known as Silverstone Classic) runs in August and draws a mix of classic car enthusiasts, families and motorsport regulars across all three days. Traffic is generally lighter than the Grand Prix weekend, and in most years there is on-site or nearby parking for general admission, which some of our Festival passengers use alongside a taxi transfer for one leg of the journey home after a long day.

Visiting Silverstone outside a race weekend

Silverstone isn't only a race-day destination. The Silverstone Experience, the circuit's official motorsport museum, is open year-round and covers the full history of British motorsport with cars, memorabilia and interactive exhibits — a straightforward taxi transfer with no race-weekend traffic or transfer-point restrictions to plan around. We also collect for private track days and driving experiences run by third-party operators at the circuit, and for corporate hospitality bookings outside the main race calendar. Outside race weekends there's normal circuit access, so we can drop off and collect directly rather than via the shuttle transfer points used on Grand Prix weekend.

Route from Aylesbury to Silverstone

A413 north through Whitchurch and Buckingham, then A43 west to the Silverstone turn-off. Outside race weekends the run is consistently around 50 minutes. For Grand Prix weekend we recommend leaving 90 minutes earlier than usual and using the local-knowledge back routes around Towcester to avoid the M40/A43 bottleneck.

2026 Grand Prix: official taxi access and drop-off points

For the 2026 F1 British Grand Prix, traffic restrictions and road closures are in place in the villages around Silverstone Circuit. There are no access, drop-off or pick-up points for taxis and private hire vehicles at the circuit itself. Fans are dropped off and collected at designated transfer points and travel on to the circuit by the Silverstone shuttle bus service.

This is official guidance issued to licensed operators for the 2026 event. The shuttle bus must be pre-booked online before boarding. We drop you at whichever transfer point suits your journey best, and we agree the same point for your return collection when you book. Post-race collection: how it works

Because there is no taxi access at the circuit on Grand Prix weekend, your return works the same way in reverse: take the Silverstone shuttle bus back to your agreed transfer point (Towcester Racecourse and Buckingham are the closest to Aylesbury), and we collect you there. We confirm the exact meeting spot in your booking confirmation. This avoids the 2-3 hours of gridlock that surrounds the circuit gates after a major race.
