Why this calculator shows a fixed price, not a range
Most fare calculators estimate a journey from distance and live demand, so the number can move between the quote and the ride. This one works differently. Each town-to-airport fare is set in advance and does not change with traffic, time of day, or how far ahead you book, so the figure shown above is the price you would actually pay.

Is this taxi fare calculator an estimate or a fixed price? +
It is the fixed price. Every fare on this site is set in advance by town and airport, not calculated by a meter or by live demand. The figure the calculator shows is the exact price you would be quoted for that route, not a range or an estimate.
Does the price include the airport drop-off charge? +
Yes. Terminal drop-off charges, such as Heathrow's £7 fee, are already built into every fare shown. There is nothing added when you arrive at the terminal.
Why do some routes cost more than others? +
Fares are set by the real driving distance between each town and each airport. A longer route costs more; a shorter one costs less. There is no flat call-out fee added on top.
My town is not in the list. Can I still get a fare? +
We cover 23 towns across Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. If your town is not listed, contact us with your postcode and we can usually quote immediately.
Does the price change if I book late or travel early morning? +
No. The fare is fixed regardless of when you book or what time you travel, including early mornings, late nights and weekends.
